Woljeongsa Temple Stopover and Prayer Bead Experience in PyeongChang!

One of the highlights of my Korea trip was spending a few hours at the Woljeongsa Temple in Pyeongchang. If you've read my previous posts then this is the calm before or after the heart-pumping and adrenalin-rushing Olympic event or Pyeongchang skiing adventure =) They said this is the filming site of the Korean drama Goblin.

Say you're heading east of Korea going skiing or exploring near PyeongChang and you're looking for a recommended restaurant for dinner. Don't miss this Korean BBQ place in the Daegwallyeong area! Our guide said that in Gangwon, the Daegwallyeong Skyranch and the Hoengseong County are famous for prime beef. Jeonggangwon Korea Traditional Food Culture Experience - a Cooking Food Tour and Hanokstay near Seoul in Gangwon-do!

Looking for a cooking class near Seoul? This one comes with a hanokstay ;) As the 2018 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Korea quickly approaches, I believe culinary tourism will be a big hit coz some want to take home the experience and make delicious Korean food at home! Right?! Because one of the PyeongChang Olympics' goals is to integrate tourism with the sporting event, venues like this Jeonggangwon experience in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon are being prepared to welcome foreigners and other visitors who want to taste and have a hands-on Korean traditional food culinary lesson! Pyeongchang is just two hours away from Seoul and located in the province of Gangwon - known for both mountain and sea and ideal climate for growing vegetables. Bigger groups can make traditional food like kimchi, ssamjang, tofu, injeolmi, tteokbokki, memiljeon, potato pancake gamjajeon etc. Or you can just eat a traditional Korean "table d'hote" set menu and stay there for a night or two =)

One Night in Seoul - Where to Eat Tosokchon Ginseng Black Chicken and Our Shilla Stay Hotel in Gwanghwamun

I recently went on a trip outside of Seoul to Gangwon-do to check out the 2018 Winter Olympics and Paralympics sites and tourist attractions that are famous with locals! The closest international airport from Manila is Incheon (entry for Seoul). If you're like me and flew via Korean Air then chances are, you arrive late afternoon then stay overnight in Seoul before going to places like Everland, Seoraksan in Gangwon-do =) What to do so as not to waste that night away? Head out immediately for dinner and make the most of Seoul! One area I would recommend is Gwanghwamun area where the Cheonggyecheon Stream is! The Deoksugung and Gyeongbokgung Palaces are also there, the King Sejong underground museum, Myeongdong, Tongin Market, the Lotte Duty Free, the very awesome Lotte Hotel among other things haha. My recent discoveries include the Shilla Stay Hotel and Tosokchon Samgyetang Restaurant. Check out below for my experience ;)

Company Outing Near Manila: Overnight Surfing and Yoga at Crystal Beach Resort in Zambales!

After months of preparation, here I am - free to tell you all about my (and my husband's) journeys at last! =) If you've been following my blog, you'll notice that I first fell in love with Zambales during my Anawangin cove trip with Anywhere Philippines and soon after, the TV shoot with PopTalk. I first learned about Crystal Beach Resort in San Narciso and experienced surfing from that episode. J and I have been attempting to stay here longer and it was full during the music festival. Finally, this year, went with his Galleon.ph team for their company outing! It's near enough (~4 hours) from Manila with an optional stopover at Subic. The resort can accommodate hundreds of guests at a time and you can choose from native accommodations to beach camping here. This chill resort can also be a good place for family outings, barkada trips or couple getaways. Check out my post below for tips and reminders if ever you want to make the most of this place =)
