Prado Farms in Lubao, Pampanga - Nice Prenup Photoshoot Location Outside of Manila and Great Meryenda Place!

We went pretty much everywhere in Pampanga for our Electrolux Discover-E Food Tour! From Mexico to Arayat to San Fernando to Guagua and now, Lubao for Prado Farms, also called Prado Center for Renewal and Development. I liked how all the junk was put together into art and how they brought whole areas, a train station and an old house for example, then made it all blend in this place. I would describe this place as an ideal photo shoot location just a fews hours away from Manila. You should come here early then end the tour with a very yummy snack like we did! Prado Farms used to be a "warehouse of LPG tanks". Today, there are accommodations available - a conference area, a theater, a church and pool in the midst of carabaos, pigs, organic veggie beds, old structures and farm land.

I hoped Mr. Reimon Gutierrez was there to give us a more comprehensive tour. During our hacienda day, I was content with being trigger-happy and testing out the limits of my GF-1 hahaha. Welcome to Prado Farms!

We just passed by the dining area. Later mamon =)

Let me show you the other sites first. If you walk to your left, you'll see the blue hall.

Upstairs, you'll find the Blue Room for meetings.

Here's a view from the balcony.

The red structure on the left is the theater - used to be a train station =)

People used to wait for trains in this structure. It was transported to Prado Farms and transformed with a stage. Very high ceiling with eerie chairs..

The yellow house next to it was also transferred here.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

This is part of the Viajeng Kusinang Matua (old kitchen tour). This house has its old kitchen intact.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

Upstairs is the library. This will be cleared out if you decide to get this room.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

This is the 2nd floor veranda.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

There are these very old things that make me want to go out here quickly.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

We went on to tour the rest of Prado Farms.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

Please be aware that there are snakes here.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

This is the bigger dining hall where you can have the buffet and functions.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

I dunno about you but some old things here and places gave me goosebumps haha. It was also getting dark and super quiet. A la Adam's Family hahaha.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

There's another building with a restaurant.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

It's more modern and has a hang out area. I think there was WIFI here.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

But their spa room made me think of a hospital..

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

This is their chapel.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

They have bicycles all over the farm too.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

The kuya who toured us said one can stay and sleep in this hut al fresco.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

Walk a little more and you'll reach their newly opened pool.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

There's no heater though.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

You can tour the organic beds but there's nothing yet when we came a few weeks ago.

One of my favorite parts is this modern villa. I believe its the newest part and you can stay here also. It's detached to the rest of the old structures in the farm and closer to the pool.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

I loved these plane carts (according to the Kuya who toured us) made into cabinets =)

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

I wonder which planes these were from..

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

Time to head back!

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

We got a sneak peak inside the owner's home..

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

Very nice..

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

Alas, we can sit down and eat! Back to the tambayan =)

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

The fountain was a very nice touch.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

Felt like it was raining even on a very hot and sticky day...

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

OMG! This Pampanga minindal (meryenda) was over the top haha! Mmm..

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

I'm not a fan of batirol chocolate and I'm also allergic to cocoa anyway.

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

But of all buts, I'm definitely a fan of this - that's Pistou (see Atching Lillian's Pisto and what it is!), Guagua Pandesal and homemade Kesong Puti with Basil!

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

You should definitely eat the Pistou, Kesong Puti, Basil and Pandesal in one bite! ;)

prado-farms-pampanga.jpg

How about spending a day or even an afternoon at Prado Farms? =) You can check out other activities and details here and here.
